Where to go: Cinemas in Bali 2017.08.19

Movie goers will always have spare time to watch their favorite movies and always curious for new releases. In Bali, it’s not really that difficult to watch movies, just check available movie schedule and come to the nearest cinema (from your hotel) to enjoy the latest blockbuster.

1. Cinema XXI

Cinema XXI is the largest cinema group in Indonesia since 1987. There are four networks' branches available in Bali; at Mall Bali Galeria, Level 21 Mall, Park 23 Mall and BeachWalk Kuta Mall. 

1.1 Cinema XXI Mall Bali Galeria 


Cinema XXI at Mall Bali Galeria is also known as Galeria XXI. It has 2 studios whereas each studio has 199 seats capacity. Ticket price is IDR 40,000 on weekdays, IDR 50,000 on Fridays and IDR 60,000 on weekends.

How to get there :

Kura-Kura Bus has a bus bay (terminal) at this mall with all our lines converge and centralized at T-Galleria in Mall Bali Galleria complex. Our bus terminal is only a mere 10 meters from the cinema.

1.2 Cinema XXI BeachWalk Kuta  

BeachWalk mall is right at the famous beach of Kuta and at the center of bustling area, Cinema XXI at Beachwalk Kuta duly named Beachwalk XXI.  Located on the second floor of the mall, the studio is well-equipped with state of the art sound and projector. It offers higher ticket price to compare to other branches but definitely worth a go. Ticket price is IDR 75,000 on weekdays, IDR 100,000 on Fridays and IDR 150,000 on weekends.

How to get there :

BeachWalk is the 5th stop in our Kuta Line, and Kura-Kura Bus depart every 20 minutes (depending on traffic) from this bus stop. Our buses stop at the front of the mall and easily accessed by either walking or motorized vehicle. Our ticket counter (booth) is also open from 10.30 am to 09.00 pm 

1.4 Cinema XXI Park 23


Park 23 XXI is located on the third floor of Park 23 Mall. This is a great alternative cinema if you want to have cheaper ticket price but similar facilities to others. Ticket price is IDR 35,000 on weekdays, IDR 40,000 on Fridays, and IDR 50,000 on weekends. Recommended for movie goers as the area is less busy and cinema is also well equipped.

1.5 Cinema XXI Level 21 Mall 


Other branches are available at Level 21 Mall, the newest lifestyle shopping mall in Denpasar. Located on the fourth floor, this cinema features deluxe studios and one premier studio. Ticket price in Deluxe studio is IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 60,000 on Fridays while on weekends is IDR 75,000.

2. Cinemaxx Lippo Mall Kuta


A high-end movie theatre is available at Lippo Mall Kuta. A movie theatre that offers modern and luxurious studios design to offer quality to enjoy good movies. It offers 2 ticket categories; Regular and Gold. Gold ticket price is IDR 100,000 on weekdays, IDR 150,000 on Fridays and IDR 200,000 on weekends while the regular is half the price. This cinema also offers advance booking (online booking and payments), so no waiting in line. Pre purchase your meals and they’ll serve your food/beverages during the movies. Great ambiance and highly recommended!

How to get there :

Lippo Mall is the 2nd Stop of our Kuta Line and the 9th Stop of our Legian Line. Both line runs regularly to this mall, stopping at the north entrance and is generally easily accessed by passengers. Look for their special bargain every now and then, as Lippo Mall often offers special giveback vouchers to shoppers.

3. Denpasar Cineplex


Located strategically in Denpasar city, Denpasar Cineplex is formerly known as Wisata Theatre (refurbished in 2014). It has 6 modern studios and one of them are designed as Exclusive studio. This cinema is also an alternative if you are looking for a cheaper ticket price. Ticket price in Deluxe studio is IDR 30,000 on weekdays, IDR 40,000 on weekends, and IDR 50,000 for Exclusive. Check out some local culinary (street food) located adjacent to the cinema or for those more adventurous, try visiting the biggest traditional market in Bali which is located across of the cinema complex.
