"Love Locks" are a quirky symbol of couples' affection that can be seen at various public attractions around the world, usually at a bridge or monument of some sort.

Perhaps the most famous Love Locks location is in Paris, at the Pont des Arts bridge, where loved up couples attach a padlock to the bridge as a sign of their love and then throw the key into the Seine River below.

This romantic tradition has now been brought to Bali, to the popular town of Ubud.

Just five minutes' drive or 15 minutes' walk from Central Ubud, the Tjampuhan Bridge is a charming structure overgrown with lush greenery. The bridge is located on Jl. Campuhan,
opposite the recently revamped Gunung Lebah Temple.

Aptly named, the elegant Bridges Bali Restaurant has installed the first location in Bali for couples to attach a Love Lock, at their purpose-built "Love Tree". The tree is located on the restaurant end of the bridge, on the left-hand side if you're heading towards the entrance of the restaurant.

To attach your Love Lock doesn't cost anything, you must simply provide your own padlock. There is no particular type of lock that must be used, it can be ornate and heart-shaped or a simple padlock used to secure luggage.

You can also buy a padlock from the restaurant itself; Rp. 150,000 with your names engraved on the lock (must be ordered 3 days before) or Rp. 110,000 for an unengraved lock.love 3

Bridges Bali Restaurant offers a "Bridging Romance" special, where couples are able to create their own romantic evening.  An evening of wining and dining may include roses, sparkling wine, a delicious set or a la carte menu, and of course placing your Love Lock on the Love Tree.

The restaurant offers the perfect setting for a romantic night out, overlooking the Wos River and enjoying jungle views from its several dining areas. It also has an extensive wine list that will surely impress.
