Before dancing Bon Odori, this festival had a competition of Yosakoi.
In this competition, local universities’ students were dancing Yosakoi. I was impressed because Japanese traditional dance was known and done in a foreign country.

This festival is not only inside stage. When we went outside, we saw so many Japanese food booths! We ate our country food for the first time in about one month, so we enjoyed eating it very much!
Then I noticed that there were many Japanese people and they also enjoyed.

There were also fair booths, which is called Ennichi, as well as food one. It looked more exciting than a festival in Japan!

Bon Odori

We could eat Japanese food for 200~400 yen, it is much cheaper than eating Japanese food restaurant in Bali.

Everyone ate Japanese food with a great smile!

After it got dark, many participants came outside, and Bon Odori party started. We experienced it for the first time because we had had no chance to join in Japan. We didn’t feel embarrassed thanks to being in a foreign country. It was a precious time for us because we could notice how good our culture!
