With not one but two locations in Bali, Taco Casa serves affordable Mexican food to visitors and locals alike in their Ubud and Petitenget restaurants.
Many ingredients on their menu are made from scratch, using no MSG or preservatives. Customers can rest assured that the flour tortillas, guacomole, salsa, enchiladas, beans, taco shells, corn chips, and dressings are as fresh as they come.
Taco Casa will also deliver Mexican right to your door (Ubud restaurant only).

TJ's is somewhat of an institution in Bali, having been open since 1984. Bali's original Mexican restaurant is tucked down buzzing Poppies 1 lane in the heart of Kuta, just a few minutes' walk from the beach.
The menu serves typical Mexican and Cal Mex dishes, as well as a wide range of desserts and "Bali’s Best Margaritas". Breakfast is served daily and includes a choice of two types of Mexican options.
"Huevos Rancheros" features oven-baked eggs on a corn meal base with refried beans and mild tomato salsa topped with melted cheese, while "Tostadas De Huevos" is a crisp corn tortilla piled with scrambled eggs, bacon, refried beans, cheese, sour cream and mild tomato salsa. Both are served with fruit salad or fresh fruit juice, coffee or tea.

This is the latest Mexican restaurant to open in Bali, and it's fast becoming one of the "Must See" places on visitors' lists.
One of the main attractions is the gorgeous decor - think patterned ceramic tiles, intricate framed mirrors, wrought-iron chairs, fountains, shrines and bright bursts of color. This attention to detail in interior design has also made Mexicola a popular location for fashion and commercial shoots.
So whether you enjoy a three-course meal or just pop in for a quick cocktail and a photo or two, Motel Mexicola will not disappoint.

La Mexicana is also fairly new, having been opened in April 2013. Located on the road to Canggu (about 10 minutes from Seminyak), it's the perfect stop if you're feeling like a taste of Mexican after site-seeing at Tanah Lot or a surf at Echo Beach.
Most main meals are around Rp. 70,000 but as usual, it's the alcohol that increases the bill at the end of a meal in Bali - margaritas are Rp. 60,000 each.
We'd recommend sitting out back, away from the road, in the cute little cactus garden. Free, fast WiFi is available and there's also ample parking.

The light and airy Laca Laca restaurant on Jl. Drupadi in Seminyak offers Mexican food on the higher end of the price scale (for Bali, at least).
The fresh decor feels like you're sitting in an actual Mexican cantina, and it's a great spot to enjoy a couple of margaritas under the stars.
There's quite an extensive menu to choose from and the drinks list is also pretty impressive, with five different types of margaritas on offer.

If you're down on the Bukit peninsula in Bali's south and suddenly have a craving for Mexican food, this is your best bet.
Sunset Grill in Padang Padang is owned by the entertaining Cacho, a big wave surfer originally from Peurto Rico who grew up in Hawaii. It's usually a surfer crowd that hang out here, what with being near Uluwatu and right in the heart of Padang Padang. Prawn tacos are a favorite on the menu, as are the chimichangas and nachos.
So next time you're down at Ulus for a surf, pop in for an ice cold beer and a couple of tacos and watch one of the surf movies that's bound to be playing.

Hands down the favorite Mexican restaurant according to Kura-Kura editorial staff, Taco Beach Grill offers the best value for money in a casual, relaxed atmosphere (you only have to ask how many VIP Member cards we've already filled up!).
You can't beat the Nachos Supreme - a huge portion of hand-made chips, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream and a choice of no less than five fresh salsas. Delicious. Perhaps Taco Beach is most well-known for their Babi Guling Tacos - a Mexican favorite with a Balinese twist.
For dessert, it's difficult to choose between the Margarita Lime Cheescake and the Chocolate Mousse. You might just have to order both and decide for yourself...
