The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism announced that Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport will be partially closed in early October this year during the APEC CEO Summit to be held in Nusa Dua.
Heads of state and official delegations from 23 Asian countries will be attending the summit, and the closure of the airport is considered as a necessary security measure. It's therefore a good idea to check with your travel agent before making any travel plans to Bali around this time.
The airport is scheduled to be closed as follows:
○ 5 October 2013 - NO CLOSURE
○ 6 October 2013 - closed from 10 am until 8 pm
○ 8 October 2013 - closed from 1 pm until 8 pm
○ 9 October 2013 - closed from 7 am until 2 pm
